UNI EN ISO 11640

The standard gives a rating to the leather based on the colour fastness.

It specifies a method for determining the behaviour of the surface of leather on rubbing with wool felt. It is applicable to leathers of all kinds.

UNI EN ISO 105 –B02

The standard tests for colour fastness to artificial light - Xenon arc fading lamp.

This part of ISO 105 specifies a method intended for determining the effect on the colour of textiles of all kinds and in all forms to the action of an artificial light source representative of natural daylight (D65).

The method is also applicable to white (bleached or optically brightened) textiles.

This method allows the use of two different sets of blue wool references. The results from the two different sets of references may not be identical.

UNI EN ISO 3377-1

The standard tests for tear load of leather.

The standard specifies a method employing physical and mechanical tests for determining the tear strength of leather using a single edge tear. It is applicable to all types of leather.

UNI EN ISO 5402

The standard tests for pH of the leather.

The standard specifies chemical tests for the determination of pH of the leather. This ensures that the leather is safe for daily contact.

UNI CEN ISO/TS 17234

The standard tests for azo colourants found in dyed leathers. It actually determines the presence of certain aromatic amines derived from azo colourants.

This part of ISO 17234 specifies a method for determining the use of certain azo colorants which may release certain aromatic amines. This ensures that the leather is safe for regular use.

UNI EN ISO 17070

The standard tests for pentachlorophenol content.

The standard specifies chemical tests for the determination of pentacholophenol content. This ensures that the leather has safe levels of pentachlorophenol.

UNI EN ISO 17075

The standard tests for chromium content in the leather.

The standard specifies a method for determining Chromium VI in solutions leached from leather under defined conditions. The method described is suitable to quantify the chromium VI content in leathers down to 3 mg/kg. This standard is applicable to all leather types. This ensures safe levels of Chromium VI in the leather.

UNI CEN ISO/TS 17226

The standard tests for formaldehyde content in the leather.

The standard specifies chemical tests for the determination of formaldehyde content in the leather. Ensures safe levels of formaldehyde in the luxure Nappa.
